- 03
Make a considered choice
Review preparation, installation, finishing and timing directly with the contractor before agreeing to the work.
Before you get started
A few things you might be wondering.
Have a more specific question? Add it to your enquiry.
Can I enquire if I have not chosen the timber yet?
Yes. Describe the colour, board width or pattern you like, the rooms involved and your approximate area. The product and installation method can be clarified before a final quote.
What if I have already bought the boards?
Include the exact product, quantity and installation instructions if available. Installation-only suitability and contractor availability need checking before delivery or a fitting date is arranged.
Is removing the existing floor included?
Only if the quote says so. Ask for removal, disposal, subfloor preparation, installation, trims and any finishing work to be listed clearly.
Can timber be installed in an apartment?
An apartment project can be assessed. Include your building’s applicable flooring and acoustic requirements, existing floor, floor level and delivery arrangements before committing to a product.
Will I need to move out?
That depends on the rooms, installation method and any finishing work. Explain your living arrangements and ask for a practical room-access plan before agreeing the schedule.
Does an enquiry confirm an installer or a price?
No. It starts a project conversation. A suitable contractor, coverage, site condition, product compatibility and availability need confirmation before you agree the work directly.
Tell us about your project.
Tell us the rooms, approximate floor area and your suburb. Already chosen your boards? Include the product name and whether you need supply as well as installation.
